Thank you for your question and comments.  

We strive to terminate the fight with each and every strike.  In the process of striking an opponent with our elbow they may get cut from our elbow but ending the fight is our primary intention.  

We almost always drop or move with our whole body weight when we head butt.  The head butt is driven from our body and never from our neck.
